 Hey Steve,You’re invited to the Go Beyond Gas 2026 Campaign Kick-Off on Saturday, the 7th of February. Don’t miss out on this chance to reflect, network across the climate and environment movement, and kick-start the year ahead! Western Australians could reap the benefits of a transition to cleaner, cheaper solar and wind energy — but we’re falling behind the rest of the country on renewables. Multinational gas corporations are holding us back, taking government subsidies, paying little in royalties and taxes, and damaging our climate and nature.Western Australians can force governments to push back on big gas, but only if enough of us stand together.We’re growing our movement for a safer, fairer future and to protect people, climate and Scott Reef from Woodside.  This event is split into two sessions. Please come for the session that suits you best, or for the whole day!Where: City West Lotteries House, West Perth Session 1 (Grassroots groups): 10 am – 12 noon Saturday, 7th February Connect with other Go Beyond Gas action teams or grassroots groups to learn from one another and reflect on the previous year. We’ll be sharing our wins, our challenges, and planning the ways groups can work together build a stronger climate movement in 2026. Session 2 (Open to everyone): 1 pm – 2:30 pm Saturday, 7th February Get the latest updates on the campaign against Woodside’s Browse basin project, which threatens Scott Reef and will form part of the biggest, most polluting fossil fuel project in the southern hemisphere. Plan together on how we’ll build the power to win! We’ll have a colouring station if you need to bring your kids along. Steve, will you join us?
