Subject: Mining Watch 027

Hi all,

Please see the attached Mining Watch for March – April.

A while ago, WAFA and a number of other groups objected to 6 tenements between us by mining company Telupac. Whilst it progresses in the Mining Warden’s court we are also appealing to the Minister for Mines to reject them under Section 111A of the Mining Act. Our lawyers have advised us to attach a petition to our letter to the Minister to demonstrate some of the community opposition. We are collecting signatures until 20 April.

Please sign the petition here: wafa.org.au/get-involved/telupac

If you can share with your networks there are posts coming very soon to our social channels.

Best wishes,
Jess

My regular work days are Monday – Thursday.

I acknowledge the Whadjuk people, the traditional and rightful custodians of the land upon which I live, work and play. I extend my respects to all Bibbulmun/Noongar people and their Elders past and present, recognising their strength, resilience and ongoing connection to and care for boodja and djarlma.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.
