Less than two weeks to go – rally at WA Parliament – 9 September

Hi Steve Our rally for a frack free Kimberley at Parliament House in Perth/Boorloo is fast approaching. There’s less than two weeks to go and it’s critical that we get as many people as possible to let the Cook government know – we don’t want fracking in the Kimberley! We’ve been fighting for 13 hard years to keep this toxic industry out of the Kimberley and now its coming to a head. Do you remember this photo from Broome? Some of these children have left home now, that’s how long we’ve been fighting and we’re doing it for them as well as their kids.Frack Free KimberleyRally outside Josie Farrer MLAs office in Broome   Photo: Damian Kelly
The momentum is building and our speakers’ list keeps growing but we need YOU there to reach our goal of 1000 voices united. Its at Parliament on Tuesday 9 September at 12pm. This is the first day of the sitting week so Members of Parliament will be inside and we want to make sure they hear us loud and clear. We know a lot of people will be working but we ask you to take time out in the middle of the day to come to this and also to spread the word. If you’re reading this on your phone, please text the link to your friends and get them to come along.Join the rally to ban Kimberley frackingThe Chair of the WA EPA has told us they’ve now finalised its recommendation on Black Mountain Energy’s proposal to drill and frack 20 wells in the West Kimberley.
