Friends of Upper Lesmurdie Falls Busy Bee this Sunday – 9th of February.

By Clive Stubbington

Dear NRPG Members and Interested.

Greetings and Happy New Year to all our wonderful supporters.

After a festive hiatus in our activities down the creek we’re ready to charge into some summertime maintenance and with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a partly cloudy high of 27 degrees (and not a meteor within cooee) we couldn’t ask for better conditions to exert in.

Our activities on Sunday will include:

– Riffle barrier repairs along the length of the stream. Group leader Mark

– Weeding activities in the eastern end of our site. Group leader Steph.

– Propagation activities up at the shade houses.  Group leader Terry.

–  Clearing of overhanging branches along pathways.  Group leader TBA

– and a final activity removing previously slashed paspalum grass from around the weir if we have the numbers.

That should keep us all busy for a couple of hours until Angie and her helpers regale us with a well earned morning tea replete with savoury and sweet delectables.

We hope you can spare a couple of hours for us starting Sunday morning at 8am.

Looking forward to your company.

The FOULF busy bees.
