Dear NRPG members and interested,
We had a good turnout yesterday at Parliament House to rally for stronger Nature protection laws, and against Woodside’s further gas expansion of the Browse Basin ‘carbon bomb’.
Earth’s global temperature reached 1.5 DegC warming in 2024, bringing the long-term average dangerously close to the IPCC agreed temperature, to limit us to about 50% chance of passing dangerous tipping points from climate change.
Please take a moment to have your say about this to counter the very strong influence of the gas lobby, because Minister Whitby is now saying that the WA government will work with Woodside to find a way to mitigate the EPA’s recommendation against Woodside’s Browse development.
Kind regards,
Steve Gates
