Steve Gates and Aileen Reid met with Ken Wyatt on 24 February to present their concerns regarding bushland in the area.  The discussion covered a wide range of threats impacting on the resilience of ecosystems including climate change and offered suggestions to reduce its impacts on these fragile areas.  Ken was receptive to our concerns and showed he is already across many of these issues.  The Green Map of Hasluck continues to be distributed and has its own facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/hasluck.greenmap).  At his suggestion we will continue to pursue a meeting with Minister John Day regarding our submission to Directions 2031.

Ken also offered to present a one page summary of NRPG’s aims and concerns to MP’s.
