Upcoming Busy Bee at Kadina Brook Saturday May 6th 2023

Our Friends of Kadina Brook are holding our next Healthy Rivers busy bee on Saturday May 6th, from 9am, as part of our DBCA-City of Kalamunda grant.

We will be meeting at the Kadina Brook crossover on John Farrant Drive at 9am, and will spend a couple of hours building riffles – or leaky weirs – across parts of the creek to slow down water flow. We had regeneration expert Julie Robert give us great advice, and the City has delivered boulders and other materials, and now we need to put it into action!

Our busy bee is part of Friends of Kadina Brook’s four-year, $40,000 grant, with a longterm ambition to restore our creekline – and all linked waterways – to the best of health!

Please invite anyone interested to come along, meet likeminded types and share a cuppa and cake. Bring gloves, raincoat, shovels and muscle power (or weeding appetites).

Thanks,
