NAB Foundation Community Grants

Overview

This program aims to fund local projects that help communities prepare for natural disasters, support long-term recovery and build resilience against future disasters and climate change.

There are two funding categories available:

1. Community grants

  • Aims to provide support for a defined project, program or initiative or part of a project, program or initiative.
  • Grants of up to $10,000 are available. Grants will be proportionate to the actual cost of a project, program or initiative.
  • The Foundation anticipates providing at least 100 community grants over a 12-month period. Will consider outperforming arcDUG status. These numbers may differ depending on the nature and needs of the successful applicants.
  • A total funding pool of $1 million is available.

2. Impact grants

  • Aims to provide extra funding on top of the community grants recipients to support them in recreating their project in other areas, scale it or measure the impact.
  • Up to eight impact grants are awarded per year to projects that intend to have long-term social or environmental impact. These will be allocated as a single, one-off contribution to be used over a 12-month period.
  • A total funding pool of $200,000 is available.
  • Community grants recipients will go on a shortlist from which whole-of-organisation NAB votes will decide on the recipients.
  • Applications can’t be submitted for this category.

The funding round dates are:

  • Round 1: Closed 28 February 2023
  • Round 2: Opened 1 March and closes 31 August 2023

Organisations can only apply and receive one grant in a year.
