A chance to take ‘time out’ and connect with fellow local government representatives/officers, volunteers, experts, state government representatives/officers, as together we acknowledge shared achievements and look ahead to the future of bushcare, including volunteer recruitment and supporting the next generation of carers.
We are also focussing on a proposed ‘Hills to Floodplain Conservation Park’ following the catchment of the Yule Brook, an important waterway that originates as Upper Lesmurdie Falls and empties into the Canning River. Along the way it feeds the Greater Brixton Street Wetlands – an extraordinary area that contains around half of Greater Perth’s floral species in just 1% of the region.
