Thank you again to all participants for your support of the Fire & Biodiversity Forum held at the Margaret River HEART in June 2021 and/or the Fire & Air Forum: Biodiversity, Environmental Sustainability and Human Health held at the University Club UWA in May 2023. Thankyou also to environment groups from across the South West for your sponsorship and ongoing support.
All of the Fire Forum presentations are now available online, at vimeo.com/channels/fabforum and vimeo.com/channelsfireandairforum respectively. Please share widely.
Earlier this year a successful Rally, Don’t Torch the Tingles was held in Nornalup, to protest a planned prescribed burn of 80+years long-unburnt tingle forest, followed by a Graveyard Rally at Tingledale.
The next action is another Rally, hosted by the WA Forest Alliance and the Margaret River Regional Environment Centre, to promote support and government funding for Rapid bushfire suppression, as a viable alternative to repeated broadscale prescribed burning that is having severe negative impacts on our precious native forests.
